I. Specific innovation of interest: Mass production
Mass production (also known as serial production) is the production of large amounts of standardized products, including and especially on assembly lines. This technology is first introduced by Henry Ford with his method of producing affordable cars. However, the technology does not limited at car production but are applied to various kinds of products. It really changes the way goods are produced since it is an effective method to produce goods in large numbers and lower price.
II. Rationale for selecting this innovation
Mass production is a revolutionary change. It is the production model that contribute to the world economy by increasing productivity and decrease prices. As mass production are applied more and more, its impacts on economy are remarkable. However, since everything has two sides, by reviewing this particular innovation, I can deeply analyze impacts and the possible future of mass production.

Hey! Really interesting topic you've got there! Didn't occur to me at all, hahaha:)
Trả lờiXóaRegarding your topic, I think it's a lil too broad, and perhaps you could narrow it down to the invention of machines that does mass productions (and the disruptive changes it brought about).
In addition, you might just want to focus on a few specific industries whereby machines are now indispensable, might help you cut down on the amount of your research.
Under the point where mass production is "Not responsive to changes in design", I'm not very sure if its a strong point, since technology has been advancing rapidly such that designs can be changed easily with just a simple program that is connected to the machines.
In addition, you might want to add another point of impact, the impact on our environment, I believe there's some controversies surrounding mass production about its effects on our environment, and linking to the future, how green technology can be incorporated into such mass production machines that can possibly reduce its adverse impacts on our environment. :)
Overall, pretty good outline, looking forward to seeing it! :D

hey! i think your outline seems okays. its detailed and i get your flow of thoughts. maybe for the discussion and analysis part, instead of just looking at the impacts of customers and workers, you can maybe look at social, environment (pollution), cultural, economically etc. I think mass production have lots of effects on these areas. n also for mass customization, you can include some disadvantages or maybe conclude which is better for the current world or which might sustain longer. i can't wait to read your paper :)

Is mass customization financially viable? I mean the only reason that so many products such as clothes, gadgets etc are affordable is because of mass factory production techniques. Research into tech that make mass customization possible. Look at Dell's laptop business model as an example. See applicability in other fields.
